Down the hole hammers 2″ and 2″1/2

High Performance with reduced air consumption

Technidrill’s 2″ and 2½″ down-the-hole hammers (DTH) are engineered for maximum performance, even at low air pressure, making them ideal for drilling in restricted environments or remote job sites.

Thanks to their oscillating valve mechanism, these hammers deliver high drilling efficiency while minimizing energy consumption. Their simplified design ensures ease of use, long-term durability, and low maintenance.

Down-the-hole hammers: thread options and custom configurations

Standard models are available with the following thread connections:

  • RD 40 for the 2″ hammer
  • RD 50 for the 2½″ hammer

Additional thread options are available upon request to meet specific tooling or drill rod compatibility requirements.

Enhanced protection with built-in check valve

Each hammer includes a positive check valve that prevents debris from entering the hammer when air supply is cut off. This safety feature extends the life of the hammer and protects the air system in tough drilling conditions.

Key Benefits of Technidrill Down-the-Hole Hammers

  • Efficient at low pressure: Perfect for operations with limited air availability
  • Reduced air consumption: Helps lower operating costs and improve site logistics
  • High reliability: Durable components, wear resistance, and easy servicing
  • Thread adaptability: Compatible with various drill rod types

A proven Solution for precision and low-pressure drilling

Whether you’re drilling small-diameter holes, operating in precision applications, or working in low-pressure environments, Technidrill’s 2″ and 2½″ DTH hammers offer outstanding performance, reliability, and safety.

Down-The-Hole (DTH) drilling method

The Down-The-Hole (DTH) drilling method is a highly efficient technique used in mining exploration, geotechnical investigations, and water well drilling. It operates with a pneumatic hammer positioned directly at the bottom of the hole, delivering powerful and consistent impacts that crush the rock while maintaining excellent drilling precision. This setup minimizes energy loss through the drill string, making DTH drilling particularly effective in hard and abrasive formations.

By combining high penetration rates, straight boreholes, and superior hole cleaning through compressed air circulation, the DTH drilling method ensures both productivity and accuracy, even in deep or challenging ground conditions. Technidrill provides a complete range of DTH drilling equipment—including hammers, bits, and drill rods—engineered for reliability, long service life, and compatibility with standard rigs used across mining and geotechnical applications.
