The Conventional core barrel B type is used to obtain cores in homogenous formations in soil testing.

Our B range is available from diameter 46mm to diameter 146mm for your in situ tests. The simple core barrel 116B is available in different lengths: 500, 1 000, 1 500 and 3 000 mm. It is possible to obtain the core barrel head alone.

The core barrels of B type are ideal to obtain a cost per meter drilled lower than the one with double core barrels. Indeed they do not have an inner tube, a simpler core barrel construction and thinner bits compared to the other core barrels.

The thinner bits result in faster penetration. However, the sample can not be obtained completely nor undisturbed in heterogeneous formations due to the absence of an inner tube.
