The core barrels type B are destined to obtain cores in homogenous formations.

We offer the B range from diameter 46 mm to diameter 146 mm for your drilling in soil testing. You will find the single core carrel 101B available in different lengths : 500, 1,000, 1,500 and 3,000 mm. The core barrel head 101B is also available alone.

This core barrel does not have an inner tube and its use is justified when needing a lower per meter drilling cost than as with the double tube core barrel. A simpler core barrel construction and thinner bits allow a lower cost per meter than the double core barrels and the thinner bits result in faster penetration.

Much care must be taken though as the lack of an inner tube does not allow to obtain complete nor undisturbed samples in heterogeneous formations.
