The probe 60 is used for testing in very homogenous sites and which doesn’t represent a risk of tearing the sheath. It will be directly lowered by rods type R32, 42Cr, 50Cr and with a probe connection. At its end, the addition of a probe shoe is necessary to preserve it during the drilling.

The choice of the type of probe is made according to two criteria: the precision and easy maintenance. The coaxial probe gives more precise results than a twin probe. However, a twin probe shows a significant ease of maintenance of the tubulars. The user can choose a probe adapted to his equipment (tubulars available), this use and his skills.

Here are the differents uses of the sheaths for 60 probes:

• Rubber sheath 4mm : for low resistance, very homogeneous formations and flow pressure under 50 bars.
• 60 HR reinforced sheaths : for resistant, slightly homogeneous formations and flow pressure for 40 to 80 bars.
• 60 metallic reinforced canvas : very resistant, slightly homogeneous formations and flow pressure from 70 to 100 bars.
• 60 metal strip reinforced probe : for adherent soils. Assembled with two bushing sheaths for probe, length 70.
